An interior designed for driving

“Fusion is more about where we’re going than where we’ve been,” Mays said. “The design conveys how fun it is to drive while communicating visually where we’re going with smart technology and fuel efficiency. This is what Ford stands for today, and the design says that.”

Ford also stands for sustainability, so Fusion is designed with reused and reusable materials.

You see a bottle, we see fabric and carpet

Fusion’s sleek, flowing profile immediately distances it from other cars on the road. It feels more like a fastback sports car than a traditional sedan. Visually light, its honed shape is 10 percent more aerodynamically efficient.

It starts right up front, where even the Ford oval badge is different. Fusion debuts what Mays is calling the “new face of Ford.” This is a new trapezoidal grille shape placed higher on the front end. Stronger, prouder and more confident, it is set to become a signature Ford design element.

Slim and elongated, low-profile headlamps and taillamps are among the many graphic details that signal smart technologies within the new Fusion.
